Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London, has a long and distinguished history as one of the UK’s leading specialist Theatre Institution. Internationally recognised for preparing students for the professional world, Wimbledon graduates, which include Richard Hudson, Sophie Jump and Nick Ormerod, have been pushing the boundaries of performance design for many years.

The College is the largest UK provider of undergraduate study in theatre and screen design and related scenographic practices. Its postgraduate level courses support further practice-based research. The pathways at undergraduate level are Costume Design, Costume Interpretation, Set Design for Screen, Technical Arts & Special Effects and Theatre Design. At postgraduate level, there are MAs in Digital Theatre and Theatre Design. Theatre & Screen at Wimbledon is built around understanding different performance contexts and producing work in the studio. Problem solving, risk taking and critical reflection are key components relating to wider industry practices.

Wimbledon has an international reputation for producing artists and designers from its Fine Art and Theatre & Screen courses who are known for their creativity, technical accomplishment and professionalism.
